Технологич. показатель, косв. характериз. богатство домен. шихты железом. Высокий выход шлака связан с ростом газодин. сопротивления столба шихты в домен. печи и с ростом потерь тепла с отрабатываемым шлаком. Суммарно в соврем, условиях снижение выхода шлака на каждые 100 кг/т чугуна дает возможность снизить уд. расход кокса на 3—4 % и повысить произв-ть печи на 3—3,5 %. Ср. выход шлака на домен. печах России 420 кг/т чугуна. Нек-рый миним. выход шлака (-180 кг/т чугуна) необходим для обессеривания чугуна и поддержания на треб. уровне тепловой инерции горна домен. печи.
